I don't think most doctors are qualified to diagnose ADHD. Can you go to a specialist, such as a pdoc or PNP or psychologist who has a lot of expertise in ADHD? Maybe you could tell your doctor that you suspect you have some ADHD symptoms and would like to see a specialist and ask for a referral. That lets your doc off the hook about a diagnosis but enables her to do something to help.

I take some meds for ADHD and have anxiety sometimes too. My treatment has not made my anxiety worse.
