Bebop, your right wear a repellant. I just never think to do that.
But now im sure i will. Mr McNeil just came and got the bird and it will be on its way to LSU. He told me they set out traps for mosquitos and two mosquitos from a trap thats across the highway one street over tested for west nile. Pretty scary.
He said there were three human cases in the past month here. But all are alright now. He said one in New Orleans that is very bad. And two in Jefferson, they are alright now too.
I called Bayous vet, Dr. Wally, and he said Bayou should be okay. He said just keep an eye on him for any of the symtoms. He had me write them down. lol
I know every year theres talk about it on tv happening in surrounding parishes. But they never say anything about down here. Mr. McNeil said this is the worst year we've had yet. He said because of the storms, the birds migrated to this area from elsewhere. He said Pink Flamingos are hanging out on the beaches in Waveland and Bay St. Louis,Miss. I dont know i didnt quite understand that part. He didnt say where the birds migrated from.
I wanted to ask some more questions, but he changed the subject to him. How he use to live three blocks behind me and Murphy bought his house and how he's living in Picayune now.
So i just nodded my head and he went on his way. Said we'll hear back soon with the results.
