I got in once, and it was so nice to be able to have some social interaction for a change, as I've been quite isolated.
I have no idea how I got in once and can't seem to get back in. The message that comes up in the box where the chat starts to load say:
Could not connect to chat.psychcentral.com:8080.
Possible reasons include:
- The chat server system at chat.psychcentral.com is temporarily unavailable.
- Your computer is behind a firewall or proxy server. Please ensure that your firewall permits outgoing TCP connections to chat.psychcentral.com on port 8080.
There may be a java problem as well or related to it, idk, this is my first computer and apparently there are a number of problems. (I think it must have been made by Dilbert's company and sold well before it was really ready for use :-/ grrrrrrrrr) I'm intimidated and reluctant to instal java updates that might be the wrong choice of many options and create internal conflicts. I guess I'll come up with a written plan to solve the numerous problems over time and start working on them in what seems a logical order. This will of course probably take me a couple of years

oh well I'll work on it as I can.
thanks for the suggestions of what might help.
