First off, I would try to talk with him.....tell him you would like to know what is bothering him & that you would like to help with whatever it is....(as if you don't know anyway).....but....it's best if they can do the communicating......reason: I had lived with my husband for 32 years & he would never communicate about anything that was bothering him.....he would never communicate about anything at all. I finally got so fed up after all these years, I left.....moved from California to Kentucky (no family, friends or anything....just moved). It was the best thing I ever did. I realized how miserable it really is to be around someone who doesn't communicate.....it is better to be alone than to be with someone like that. If they don't want the consequenses than they need to talk & they need to do it when the problem is there in their face....not years later.
Voice of experience,
Debbie
