I'm planning to eventually move out but I don't have the money to right this second nor do I have everything I need but I do plan to move out. I don't have dishes, dish towels, silverware, pots and pans. I don't have anything. I'm not moving out tomorrow or next week but when I do move out I have nothing. Yes, I have bedroom furniture and my clothes but I don't have much else. My dad has a chest that he wants to give me and I've been thinking about getting some of these things over time and putting them in the chest. My mom won't help me because she doesn't want me to move and dad won't help me out with this because he could care less about me. so when I move out I'm starting from scratch on my own. I know it may take time to get everything I want but I figure if I start with the small stuff now then when I do move out at least I'll have that and then all I really have left is the living room furniture. Do you think me getting the chest and putting stuff in there for when I move out is a good idea or is it me being stupid and selfish? Any input is appreciated.
