As citizens it is our duty to vote, it is part of the social contract. Just remember a lot of blood has been spilled to make sure we all have this thing called representative government. Let us all be heard, let us not let the sacrifice of others be wasted by our refusal to to voice how we think and feel at the ballot. I urge all of you, whatever your disposition, Republican, Democrat, Independent, step up.

Another important thing to rememeber. When Iraq held its first democratic election in many years, almost 80 percent of the eligible population turned out to vote despite the uncertainty of how balloting could work and the threat of terrorism. Same with Afghanistan. We who have this form of government for over 200 years can do just as well!

Whoever you support, go and vote, please. I will be headed to the polls this weekend to cast my early vote!
