just wondering if anyone could help me out on this question. My phobia (which i have explained in a post in the anxiety section) has been getting worse and alot of people have told me to try hypnotherapy to overcome it. However the minute i mentioned the fact that i have had psychosis before the hypnotherapist has said he can not hypnotise me. I asked why and i was told that the board of hypnotherapy in australia will not allow hypnosis to be performed on people with any history of psychosis or schitzophrenia. I was wondering if anyone would know what the dangers are of performing hypnotherapy on someone who has had psychosis before and also if the psychosis goes away is it safe to have hypnotherapy done then. I am still considering not mentioning the psychosis and going ahead with it but i would like to know the dangers before i go ahead.
