Is love a way to medicate schizophrenia?

Has anyone else encountered this kind of situation?

I don't know what to make of it.
Sookie,

I think love is the answer to a lot of things in life. One of the reasons the way you feel better with your boyfriend is probably because he makes you feel secure, relaxed, happy. When a person has stress that goes unabated as you undoubtedly did (hearing voices and seeing things only you can see must be really stressful), your symptoms were activated. Stress that goes unchecked and takes over makes all sorts of bad things happen, far beyond that of schizophrenia alone.

What makes you think your boyfriend suspects anything? I'm assuming your speaking of your mental health history? If you feel secure with him, then you shouldn't have any problem telling him private things as the relationship moves forward. I wish you the best!
