It's very hard to quit alcohol, especially when things are bad&it offers relief. I'm not saying it's OK to drink when it's a problem. I quit binge drinking 18 years ago-cold turkey-had the DTs&all the rest, but, boy does my life seem better w/out the alcohol. One less problem&it masks other problems. Are you taking meds that you shouldn't be drinking with? I know that one thing that's helped me stay sober is knowing the adverse effects of mixing meds w/alcohol. It can get pretty serious. Just something to think about.
