That was great of your husband to remind you of your meds, maybe you should ask him to remind you(or even hand them to you!) regularly. My wife would not get her meds or get them correctly if I hadn't taken control of them. If it is what works though... There will be times you'll resent him doing it and times he'll resent doing it(it is a lot of work taking care of someone else's medication especially with some of the cocktails they put bi-polars on!), but you both have to remind yourselves how important it is to take all your meds correctly. One thing that is important, from the perspective of a husband with a bipolar wife, is to remember to ask him to do it and to tell him how much it means having him help.
