Abilify...
I've been on it about 3 years. Technically I take it to stabilize bipolar II, but really for the reason you are getting it...to get a kick in the butt! The depression I have is stubborn, and antidepressants alone have not cut it.
I have to take a fairly low dose (5mg). At a higher dose I got akasthisia, an incredibly unpleasant sensation of being fidgety and unable to get comfortable or sit still. Just lowering the dose made that go away.
It worked well for me when I started taking it. Lately my meds have not been working so well, but I don't know if it is the Abilify or something else that is pooping out. It's a good med and definitely worth a shot. Good luck!
