Nothing I wrote in my original post hinted, implied, or intimated in any way that there was anything wrong, negative, or harmful in smilie use to anyone other than myself -- for which I indicated that I took full responsibility. Indeed, I noted that I, too, use smilies.

I think that the being called "spineless" because too many smilies give me a headache, or encountering a defense of smilie use, is uncalled for as responses to my post. I am really tired of being picked on for every least little word.
