I've always been a light sleeper, which is probably related to my OCD/anxiety/somewhat depression/whatever.
There are meds that can help you get a good night's sleep. But there are also other methods. A white noise machine can really help...masks those little noises in the night that wake us up, and with the right noise you can really get into a trance.
There are many white noise websites out there these days so you can download something and play it on your computer...save a bit of money that way.
Reading is always a good way to put oneself to sleep. I've been a History major for a while, so sometimes I'll read an article or book and see if I can "dream" myself into the period about which I'm reading. Sounds strange, but you'd be amazed how little tricks like that can help, and provide a more positive sleeping experience, which is always key.
