Oh dear.

Trick-or-treat hours in my little burg are 5-7 pm. I've had one little bitty one (like, barely walking age) and a group of early elementary age.

Since it's not wise for me to have sugar-laden things in the house anymore, I decided this year I would hand out Halloween-themed stickers, temporary tattoos, and pencils. To say it's not going well is a gross understatement.

*I* figure, I'm sparing the parents sugar highs and dentist bills, and sparing myself a chocolate binge. And it's not like I'm giving the kids rocks, like poor Charlie Brown gets. But I did wonder, as I was buying this stuff, if they would be disappointed, and so far? That turns out to be a big ol YES.

Oh well. Back to chocolate next year, I guess!
