I take things like that to their logical extremes? If they do in fact hate you, what does that mean? If you knew for a fact they did, how would that change what you do, how would their hatred manifest itself?

Looking at extremes for me comforts me as usually none of the extremes are happening. I argue with the voice telling me different things, give "facts" and it has no response. Sometimes, to amuse myself, I just accept what it says :-)

Voice: "Those people over there hate you".
Me: "Okay. I'll go see if I can find Karen, she's kind and I don't get quite as much of a feeling that she hates me. . ."
