She said that they might get worse and if they did, they could start happening more often, or more voices, or sometimes the voices say mean things. I've read that in the psychosis board here- that they can say mean things. Mainly, its just a nuisence to be disturbed by someone that isn't even there. (Of course, a stranger that IS there would be worse....!)
I asked about the same in another thread. I used to hear voices and they were very real. It sounds like someone elses conversation, but just a fraction of it.. Like a man saying something here, and a a woman saying something else there.. Many different people talking, but not at the same time..
