Okay, so... Last week I found out that a good friend of mine had past away. Like me he was a freshmen in college. I decided to go to his funerAL (I was invited) IN glasgow, Scottland. I also had one class and a conference with the professor of that class. I also had to turn in a paper at the conference on the friday the funeral took place. I emailed my proffesor three tiomes explaining the situation (ahead of time) so that she would understand that i could not make her conference. she never responded to any of my emails so I thought everything was cogent.
This morning (thursday), She walks past me and goes to the fdront of the class room. and sits down and starts taking attendance. And she wasnot doing anything becasue not every one was here. I ask her, "Did you happen to get my email?" and she responds, "Yes, about that. It is your fault for missing my class and my conference, so why should I even talk to you right now?" I was in shock and embaressment becasue ten other people watched as she yelled at me. i then said "Well, can I still turn in my paper?" and she said, "well, becasue you were at a funeral, i guess so. I need it now." so I gave it to her and She said, "It is your responsibiliuty to contact your class mates about classs information when you miss. This was the first time I missed. I asked her why she was so upset when she never answerd any of my emails. I also had to present a speech about affirmative action and she then said "you and three other people will not be going today, there for your presentation better be perfect on tuesday." She ruined my whole self esteem for the day. I felt like a worthelss bit of matter. I felt so bad yet so angery. She then asked me to set up the computer to the project (I am the only one who knows how) and then I just walked out.
Was this wrong of me to act like this? I just was so frustrated that she made me a badguy. I thihnk it was unfair that she teaches communications classes and does not email back. Please correct me if I am wrong.
