Studies show that, beyond having basic needs met, having more money does not make people happier. There can even be more stress and more pressure to live the perfect life such that it interferes with living and enjoying life and the things that really do make you happy. Comparing ourselves to others just brings dissatisfaction. It isn't easy to learn to manage emotions, especially in high school, but it can be learned. You might try reading "The Feeling Good Handbook" by David Burns, M.D. If you want to be a psychiatrist, the best place to start is to learn about and understand and work on your own feelings. Music is a great tool too. I use music a lot for self-soothing and getting in touch with my feelings. And God might help you find a way to pay for medical school if you ask Him.
