Definitely sounds like a case of rode rage. I'm really glad to hear that you're alright. We get that so much here in Calififornia with all the bumper to bumper traffic at all times of the day. And everyone is always in a hurry.

What the cops advise here is to try not to make eye contact with the person if at all possible. If you have a cell phone, try to get the person's license number and call 911 and give it to them, Also, start watching every street sign so you can let them know where you are. If you don't have a phone, find a very public place, get out of your car and look for help as quickly as possible. Yell and scream if you have to. If you can't find a public place, keep driving, and not to your home ot work, just drive until this person gets tired of going out of his/her way. Be sure to stay out of quiet, dark areas. And if you have to keep driving, don't stop! Not for a stop sign or a light. Proceed thru every intersection as carefully as you can. If running a light brings the attention of the cops, that's exactly what you want. The person will give up eventually.
