Cats' knees are way up their legs compared to humans, or at least that's the way it looks. The first part of their hind legs are actually their feet (they walk mostly on their toes), then there is the ankle, a long bone that is the shin, and finally the knee which is up towards the body itself! The knee and thigh and the joint at the pelvis look close together.
