Research reasearch research.

Personally I would make a list of several in your area, then contact them to ask if you can make a visit to see how they operate, to get more of a feeling for how they would treat your child. And ask questions! Most daycares would be happy to answer the questions or show you how they operate.

Other than that aside, A nanny is a good option if your looking for more personal care or a one on one situation. That would allow your child to develop a personal relationship that could have him or her feeling more secure. Its all up to what you think your child would feel best.
