When I only had a few I used "have you ever tried to give a cat antibiotics...it doesn't work very well" Now I have so many and most of them are extremely obvious they wern't an accident so I just try to avoid the subject or say "it doesn't matter". Most people I've met don't notice or pretend not to. They tend to want to stay igorant and as for the others that don't I get cod to them and ignore them until they leave me alone.
