digdug, I appreciate your thoughts on this subject. I suggest to you that you do some back reading and searches regarding the Spirituality forum and the changes that were made earlier this year to get a better understanding of why the Spirituality forum is as it is now.

Thank you Rapunzel for offering the All Faiths Social Group to digdug. I do hope that area will be helpful to you digdug.

The question I have is this: is it really so destructive to have a forum where we can discuss individual spiritual beliefs? Recently a thread got going in the Depression or Anxiety board (sorry, can't remember which one) about these topics, and I think all of us that were involved in it found it very beneficial and moving to have an honest, open discussion about these things.

Perhaps such a forum would be too difficult to moderate. If so, I find it sad that a site designed for people to support each other would be taken over by dogmatic infighting (and I know that there are dogmatic atheists out there, by the way). I just think that, as people suffering from various mental illnesses, we all have unique and insightful perspectives on such matters, and few outlets in the "outside world" where we can share them. It would be nice if we could do so here.
