also, remember there's no time you "should" be happy
You're trying so hard to feel happy - this may sound odd, when I try to make myself feel a certain way I always fail at it and then I feel worse for trying and failing.
You can't change your feelings directly; you can only change how you react and how you think.... changing these things can in turn change your feelings
So I guess, don't put so much pressure on yourself to feel a certain way, or to be a certain way. For the sadness, there are ways out but you can't get mad at yourself for feeling sad
