You have met many, many folks with Borderline Personality Disorder. You just dont know it. It's one of the most common disorders. I have it too. I don't hate it. It has low points, scarey times. I think I empathze well with others because I can feel such a spectrum of emotions. We make great writers and poets because we aren't so divorced from this world that we regard it with cold disinterest. We a passionate people. We make fabulous actors. That is one reason you don't realize you know so many Borderlines. We are so good at acting normal. We are often very moral people although we may operate within our own code of right and wrong. I am not ashamed of this.
The key thing for me is a stable environment with stable people. I don't find routine terribly dull although I like to veer from it too. Almost no subject bores me--which is common of Borderlines. We are often quick studies.
Be proud. Don't be ashamed. But aim for stability. Fight for it. We can be so fragile sometimes. Best Wishes. Welcome to the club.
