I got this message from Windows that I needed to install a 2009 virus protection program when I turned on my computer this evening. I went thru the process of installing it, letting it scan my computer for viruses, and found that it cost $49. I decided I didn't want to spend that money, so I closed the program, but it keeps popping up, wanting me to purchase it. Also, all kinds of other popups are coming up, so I checked and my popup blocker was turned off. I turned it back on, but still getting all kinds of popups.
I'm doing an Adaware free full-system scan as I write this. They usually quarantine all suspect programs.
I just wondered if anyone else is experiencing this?
