I'm sorry you are faced with this. My mom had breast cancer along with her lung cancer. It is scary stuff, especially when it's familial. You feel like a ticking time-bomb.
Knowledge is power. I would suggest learning everything you can about it before you make any decision. Maybe even get a second opinion. The more you know, the better the consultations will be.
