a man who has never missed a Dodger's game received a call recently from the ticket office for the team. he was told that if he wanted to keep his 2 seats, behind the dugout, it would cost him $100k plus!! you see, the team management have added three new rows of seats in front of him and they need his help in paying for the construction of those seats. the average salary for a baseball player now is $2.5 million...he refused to buy the tickets this year and will, for the first time ever, miss all the games. what really irritates me is that he has supported that team all of his life and now that he's elderly, he can't afford to go. incidentally, the rise in the ticket prices computes out to be 8 times more than they were last year. Wants, think athletes are treated like royalty? i do and it embarrasses me that so much money is being paid to those people and we still have homeless people and children go to bed hungry here....please, people, i'm not attacking ANYONE...i'm just commenting upon the signs of the times.......pat
