Its painful because its
not true, if you are referring to her accusations towards me. I love my daughter. If I didn't, I could go on my merry way and not give it a second thought. What she thinks of me is important. You dont stop loving them or being a parent when they turn 18, 30, or 60. The dynamics of the relationship will change but the love doesnt fade or go away. How she perceives me will always be important. I'm the standard to which she will apply her own parenting skills someday, for better or worse.
