my mom does that all the time. then i ask her what she is talking about and she gets mad at me and tells me she wasn't speaking. =( or she'll address me as if i am the person she was thinking about and then be angry that i don't understand. "you know, the guy we wen't to school with!!!" ..mom... i didn't go to school with you... i wasn't born yet..... now it is a funny joke between us - she thought i was her best friend. but at the time, it was a little alarming for me, heh.
