I'm so sorry you are going through such a rough time...

A few counseling sessions would probably be of help to you.
Look at it this way; the University would not have opened the department unless they were aware the students were in need of it.
It's a new thing and we understand your feelings, but the guidance you'll receive will be of great help. Confidentiality is honored, and you will not be judged because you request guidance from a professional...chances are that counselor knows exactly how you feel because they were students once and will be able to help you sort things.
