my name is Paul and I'm new here...
Last September I gave up cigarettes - I was off them for 6 months then started again after a friend of mine broke up with his partner.
Anyway I'm trying to give up again and getting frustrated with myself that I keep giving in.
I only have one or two a day and whilst I enjoy them when I have them afterwards I'm really down on myself.
There are a couple things I'd also like to give up at the moment - including drinking coke (which I love but I know isn;t good for me).
I'm told it's best to give up one thing at a time - but often when I have a coke it leads to a cigarette which is where my lack of will power comes in.
I have been told in the past that I need to be nicer to myself - not sure how to do that in regards to this.
I guess I'm looking for advice on will power and how to achieve an aim.
Rewards don't work for me - I just give in and reward myself anyway - any advice would be bonza!!!
