Please pray for, or keep in your thoughts and meditations, my daughter Jessica.

Many of you know of the extreme difficulties we had through my daughter's Graves disease diagnosis while pregnant...as well as the liver and heart involvement, the race to get the thyroid out, etc. It's been crazy scary

Jess is doing really well since their getting her post surgical levels more stable...however, one thing hasn't improved and that is these weird "episodes" that began when she was 16 (about the same time that her Graves went out of control but when didn't know what it was).

Something she said a couple of months ago made me realize that it sounded like she was having seizures. We got her to the dr. and they dx'ed her with temporal lobe seizures and amnesia (she can't remember during the episode).

At the time (seven weeks ago), here PCP took a CBC and her white blood count was high. She went back for a follow-up (where she's doing great with everything but still having seizures...2-4 over a couple of days every 2-3 weeks) where the dr. drew more blood and her white blood count was very high. During this time she also had a normal EEG.

The PCP has ordered a special "blood smear" to check white kind of white blood cells, etc. Daughter pointed out that she'd just gotten over a virus and said it was probably that and dr. said it could be, but her count it awfully high to be that. We can only assume it's been pretty high for more than two months now. She called a neuro as well.

I don't know what the connection might be to the very high white blood cell count and the seizures. I don't know that the two are connected for her, but the two together definitely have both dr. and neuro jumping.

Well, the neuro called and wanted to see her the next day! That only happens in the hospital almost. Daughter said she couldn't do it that day and they made room for her on the next first available which is Monday.

Needless to say I'm very concerned. I'm concered about another auto-immune disease process (as it's not uncommon to have more than one), but also afraid acroos the board of many things.

She's been through so much, and I can't believe that she's still having to deal and more is going on.

Please remember her, as well as the doctors, right now.

Thanks and love,

KD
