Now that thats out of the way, yes I know the kind of thoughts you are talking about, I get that a lot. One time I tried to explain how one thought leads to another to my therapist and even though she has ocd she seemed amazed at the process. The exercise I am supposed to try to stop that with is this, imagine your thoughts are clouds and recognize them but let them pass in their own time try not to really feed them by thinking to much about them. That being said I don't have much luck with that but it may be worth a try because some people have been helped by that.
