I didn't know of this incident, so I went back and found your posts about it. I'm so sorry this happened to you! I have had similar experiences in dealing with the police because of a stalker. They weren't much help till it escalated to his breaking into my house with a gun. I hope your assailant will be caught and punished before he bothers other women.
