Have you talked to anyone about these feelings? If not I think you should at the very least go talk to your dr about this, they can always refer you to a therapist which might help. I struggle with the overwhelming thoughts too sometimes I have found taking a warm bath or cold shower to be helpful to kinda pull me back to the present. Sometimes reading one of my favorite books can help too, it's hard to read and have thoughts racing through your mind at the same time.
