I have yet to figure it out. I think some of it is about Venus and Mars differences. Women think differently than men. But, obviously, if we can observe this behavior and wonder about it, it isn't an uncontrollable issue it's a choice. What I find so interesting is it doesn't seem to be about competition for men --- it's just plain competition. Part of it is about this social message that women should be able to do it all. If someone else is getting ahead faster or better or doing more things some women feel it's a challenge. Men are like that too, but, for some reason it's simpler. Fortunately, all women aren't like that and the company of honest women is irreplaceable.
