Everyone in my immediate family (Mom, dad, brother) but me seems to get down this time of year. Unless you count step-parents and their kids, my step-dad and sister likes the season as long as there is something fun to do in all of that snow 
As for the holidays themselves they are okay, pretty much everyone but me (again) seems to have the attitude of "let's just get this stupid thing over as soon as possible" which is kinda a downer until the day those holidays actually come around and everyone is chipper.
I don't think it's that unusual to get depressive this time of year and it's no use to fake enthusiasm
