Well, tonight was the memorial service for Bonnie. It was very sad. Her husband sat with our group after the service (during the reception). He voiced what I had been thinking: he is glad that all this stuff is done so he can get on with grieving and missing Bonnie. I thought I was the only one feeling that way, but apparently not. Tomorrow will be his first day without things to take care of. I mean, I know he still has to go through all her stuff, but I don't think he's ready to do that yet. He just seemed relieved and grateful that the official mourning is over. I'm glad too.

"What is Real? asked the Velveteen Rabbit one day.

"Real isn't how you are made," said the Skin Horse. "It's a thing that happens to you. When a child loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you, then you become Real."

"Does it hurt?" asked the Rabbit.

"Sometimes," said the Skin Horse, for he was always truthful. "When you are Real you don't mind being hurt."
