I too have the paranoid thoughts. Cognitive behavioral therapy works best for me, and I usually do not go to a therapist. I work on these things myself, and have been rather successful in changing many of my unhealthy thought patterns and beliefs. I do have an advantage, I am studying psychology, so I have more knowledge about the therapy methods an such than an everyday person. I would be more than happy to talk with you further (annhertel@gmail.com) and try to offer help and advice.

The key to the therapy, is that you must become stable first in order for it to really be effective. If you are in the midst of a manic or depressive episode, your mind is thinking irrationally and you chemicals are not balanced - rational thought is difficult and it is even more difficult for accurate introspection and reflection on your unhealthy thoughts patterns and behaviors.

Do you have a psychiatrist? Are you on medications such as a mood stabilizer?
