Such an invasion of privacy.....theft of any kind...it just plain stinks

I'm sorry that this happened to you, but so glad your credit card company has caught it. Are you 100% certain that it was an online purchase that compromised your card? It could have been one of the many thefts of hackers getting into companies databases and stealing the credit card numbers. That also happened to me with the TJ Maxx issues last year I think it was.

It's very possible your credit card company was being proactive in knowing there was theft from a store computer base and reissuing cards to their members who have shopped there in the past.
