I wanted to decorate and shop because that's what everyone else does and it seems to make them happy. Doesn't work for me though. Last year we didn't really celebrate Christmas and I think I was happier. I'm mad at myself for buying into all of this, thinking it would somehow bring me joy. Argh! At least it makes my husband feel good. I think it's because he sees me getting involved and doing something besides sleeping, eating or watching TV. Oh and I went WAY OVER the budget buying stocking stuffers for my husband (that's all we're getting for each other is stocking stuffers). So I'll have him get less for me, which is okay because I don't really want or need anything (besides maybe some chocolate lol).

I've been feeling the same way and need to get into the holiday spirit myself. Congrats to you for doing that! I'm planning on doing it this coming weekend with my dd...putting on some music and forcing myself to be a little festive... Guess I'll just have to fake it til I make it! Happy Holidays!
