otai. my tutor talked with me today. mainly because she knows A. my brother is a high functioning aspergic, and B. she knows i like looking after people :P

basically, theres a kid in out tutor group called James, who is aspergic.

my tutor and i want to help him get more involved socially, as its scary enough when your good socially.

thing is, hes very quiet bless him, and doesnt have any friends as far as i can see. so it would be helpful if i knew how to approach him, so i could get to know him.

i only ask, because the way i am, doesnt suit being friendly with a kid like that, id probably scare him. or confuse him. or both :P i confuse henry all the time.

if i get to know the guy, i can help him with his confidence, and get into things he likes doing. i want him to realise also that were ALL weird. not just him. because i know he kinda thinks hes a bit of a freak because he has something other people dont have.

also, has anyone considered having a thread for things liek autism and aspergers? because we have one for alot of other things, i think the resources to support people with aspergers and autism is less prominent than other disorders.

but yeh. sorry if i come across a bit rude or condescending, thats not the idea. i just want to help the guy gain some confidence.
