I have been on many different medications over the years, as I am sure many of you have ..... I have recently developed a high pitched sound (ringing?) in both of my ears. I recently added lamictal to my mix of meds (Effexor XR 600mg, Provigil 200mg, clozaril 100mg). I did the slow climb to the 100 level and then jumped to 200mg. It had been making me feel a bit ill for sometime (sore muscles, stiff neck, etc.) but I didn't really make the connection to the piercing sound in my ears. My question is ...........has anyone developed a ringing in their ears due to a medication? By the way...I did stop the lamictal cold turkey on Sat. (haven't told my pdoc yet) and am in the process of having tests to rule out some thyroid issues......but the high pitched sound continues.........anyone else?
