Odd how I stumbled on this....*as i've just finished applying my lotion*..lol.
When i used to reside in Northern Nevada, with the harsh winters there, my skin cried for help. During that time, I discovered bout 3 different creams that were a Godsend....
Although I can't recall the place of purchase, my best guess is either at Target, Walmart..or possibly even K-Mart.
The first isn't exactly a cream...more like a jelled-vasilline like base. It's called "BagBalm". Comes in a short, square tin, dark green in color. Has a picture of a milkin cow on it....lol....It was originally developed for the cure of cracked utters on the cows from over-milking. Once discovered how fantastic it is, it had been distributed for human use.
When I used to work out in the northern winter elements (back in my day), my hand's would crack along the quicks of my fingernails=MAJOR pain. I applied the balm to the cracks just before bed, slip on sum light-weight rubber gloves (hold in the moisture n prevent escape of "greasy" onto myself or bed while sleeping). By morning, cracks were healed, and hands were good again. The stuff is amazing! Fair priced..and LASTS FOREVER! The ONLY drag about it is that it is GREASY like vasalline. It is a wonderment for any minor exterior injuries.
The other is called "DrySkin Treatment Cream". (It is the generic of Eucerin). Developed by Perrigo. It isHypo Allergenic, Dermatologist tested. Fragrance n color-free. FANTASTIC STUFF. Non-greasy, light to the feel.
I love this stuff. This is what I usually use when in need of something.
The name-brand "Eucerin" cream is great stuff, as well. Same as above, but is costly. However, if you cannot find the others, its price is well worth the results provided. When my skin used to over-dry, I'd apply that and its like applying instant relief...AHHHHHH!
There is one other, Curel...a well known brand. It's a good cream, and works well for minor skin issues, but it's nothing in comparison to the other's I've mentioned.
Hope this helps...Happy Skin to you!
