nice to meet you and i'm glad you and your peeps are in a good place. you are always welcome here no matter what.
i relate to your story backwards. my dad was mildly abusive compared to all the others. he is 85 years old now and says he had no idea that mom was abusing us when he was at work and that there was satanic ritual abuse going on. how in the world can anyone be that oblivious? we too lived in a very small house and things still manage to go back there. i was the only one who didn't share a room....lucky me-not.
i am very happy for you and proud of you that you are beginning to be able to forgive and move on. my mom has been gone since 1992. i do not really miss her which makes me sad, but sometimes we wish we had a mom, we could use some mothering even now.
