...hot dang there is some good sobriety here. It seems like at the time that I was here before the blind thing, we were somewhat of a fledgling group down here. There were a few of us with some sobriety but it was just a small core group. Now though, WOW there are some really great new members with really good stuff to say. And great topics being brought up. I spent my morning here and now feel more prepared for my trip. We leave in just a few hours to Phoenix and then fly out tomorrow. I'm pretty nervous but I' know it'll be great, and I get to be of service to Brian's family. It'll be my first Christmas away from home ever, but I'm mostly nervous about my first Christmas away from my AA family. Brian says its about an hour drive to the nearest AA meeting, but I'm adament that we get to at least one meeting while there.
I guess there's not gonna be snow....sad.
Anyway, I just had to say how pleased I am that our recovery hehome here has grown so much while I was away. Its so refreshing to meet the newbies.
Take care and have a merry and sober Christmas.
Hugs,
Rayna
Oh, I just listened to what I typed and the words fledgling group remind me of AA's pioneering days. I'm going through the bb with a new sponsor and we were reading the forwards and had to laugh when it said that now more than one hundred men and women were sober lol. Just like AA grew expontially and still grows, so sis our little society here. Tee hee, I love it.
