I have to admit I do not remember Christmas pagents fondly.

One memorable school one - I was in a skit where I was a tomatoe (How this related to Christmas I have no idea.) But my costume was carefully shaped Chicken wire, covered in red tissue paper. Every time I moved I scratched myself.

Then as a minister's kid, I was fully expected to participate in all church pagents. When I got too old to be in them, I had to play the piano for them. Most of them were awful. It didn't help that the piano I was expected to play on, was badly out of tune, which offended my ears.

No nostaltia here - except for the one time, when I was in grade 2 or 3 when I got to be lead fairy Princess. Being tallest got me that role. And I had a lovely costume with tinsel wings. Now that I think about it, they were probably made out of chicken wire too (farming community) but I thought I looked stunning and got my picture in the town paper.
