as for your college friend, it sounds very much like she’s using you. If she asks for study materials or money, tell her you’re sorry but you’re using them and can’t spare the money. When she calls and you don’t want to talk to her tell her you’re busy. There’s no need to do anything dramatic like hurt her feelings. If she asks why you’re avoiding her, i’d be honest with her. I’d tell her you’re feeling used and don’t like it.
