Yeah...that sure is hard to deal with no doubt. Sorry you are both having to go through this.

How about keeping a little journal and record those "special" moments along with the apologies. Maybe having something in black and white that he cannot refute might help him "see" what's happening. Sorry, that's about the only thing I can come up with.
